In June 2002, Monty's Men - although not recognised as this yet - went across to Ouisterham in Normandy to carry out a commemorative march from the No.4 Commando landing beaches at SWORD to the Orne River crossing which was taken by the 6th Airborne Division (commonly known as 'PEGASUS' Bridge).
The group consisted of individuals from several different living history organisations and re-enactment units. We also met up with a French Re-enactment unit which portrays the French Troop of No. 4 Commando.
